From April 27 to May 7, 2026, we welcomed Assoc. Prof. Hsu Yuan-Hao from Tunghai University in Taiwan at the Institute of Animal Biochemistry and Genetics CBs SAS.
His visit took place within the framework of the international SAS–NSTC project “LipAI – Lipid Regulation for Anti-Inflammatory Therapy”, focused on research into the role of lipids in inflammatory processes and their potential in the development of new therapeutic approaches.
As part of the program, Assoc. Prof. Hsu Yuan-Hao delivered a scientific lecture titled “Distinct Phosphatidylglycerol Species Differentially Rescue Rotenone-Induced Damage”, in which he presented the latest findings on the protective effects of various phosphatidylglycerol species in rotenone-induced cellular damage.
During the visit, joint discussions, planning of future experiments, and knowledge exchange took place, strengthening the collaboration between Slovak and Taiwanese scientists and opening new opportunities for joint research.
