Ing. Ivana Borovská, PhD., from the Institute of Molecular Physiology and Genetics CBs SAS, is the first author of an article published in the Nature Biotechnology.
The study focuses on the structural dynamics of RNA in living cells. As part of the research, the team mapped secondary RNA structures in E. coli bacteria and human cells, discovering several functional RNA structures that change depending on external conditions and regulate gene expression.
This work significantly advances our understanding of RNA, not merely as a passive carrier of genetic information, but as an active, dynamic regulatory element influencing biological processes in real time within the natural cellular environment.
We sincerely congratulate her and wish her many more research successes!
