This year, PhD students from the Centre of Biosciences SAS were among the successful applicants in the annual DoktoGrant grant program, which aims to support high-quality scientific projects by PhD students.
They received their certificates during an all-academic seminar for PhD students. The following doctoral students were recognized:
- Mgr. Alexandra Bombárová (IAP CBs SAS): Monitoring the potential adverse effects of zinc nanoparticles used in ruminant nutrition
- Ing. Lívia Pelegrinová (IMPG CBs SAS): Alu-RNA Conformational Dynamics and Their Impact on ADAR-Mediated RNA Editing
- Mgr. Rebecca Radič (IABG CBs SAS): Effect of NMDA receptor manipulation on brain regeneration after injury in the Society finch (Lonchura striata domestica)
- MVDr. Natália Zábolyová (IAP CBs SAS): Monitoring the postbiotic effect of enterocins on methicillin-resistant staphylococci in vivo
The DoktoGrant program supports unique scientific projects of full-time PhD students at SAS organizations. The program enables students to conduct independent research projects that complement their dissertations and can be completed within one year.
Congratulations to all the successful applicants, and best of luck with your projects!
